About COMPASS
Bringing intelligence to
the NDIS sector
COMPASS was built because the NDIS sector runs on fragmented, hard-to-access data. Housing providers make million-dollar investment decisions from spreadsheets. Newcomers get sold the brochure version of the market. We think everyone deserves better tools.
Our mission
Turn public NDIS data into decisions anyone can make
The NDIA publishes quarterly data covering every region, every SDA design category, and hundreds of thousands of participants. That data is public — but it's locked inside PDFs and spreadsheets that take hours to parse.
COMPASS ingests that data each quarterly release, scores it, ranks it, and surfaces it in tools that answer the questions people actually ask: Where does demand outpace supply? What can a dwelling earn under the current determination? What does a roster really cost?
What we believe
Our principles
Evidence over gut feel
Every decision in the NDIS sector has a real impact on real people. We build tools that surface the data so providers can back their choices with evidence, not assumptions.
Built around real decisions
The platform is organised around the decisions providers and investors actually face — where to build, what a place can earn, what a roster costs, what the regulator changed.
Transparency in data
All intelligence is sourced from official public datasets. We show the source, the data date, and the methodology — and we publish how every figure is calculated.
Practical, not academic
We don't publish reports. We build tools. The output of every feature is a number, a ranked list, or a decision — something you can act on today.
Where the numbers come from
Official sources only
Every dataset on this platform comes from an official public publisher, is labelled with its data date, and is preserved so results can be re-checked.

How we verify
Every number is checked before you see it
Financial tools are only as good as their inputs. Before release, the platform's data goes through a documented verification protocol.
Independent recomputation
Every calculated value on the platform is re-derived from the raw data with independent code and compared against what the app serves — including all 96 opportunity scores.
Official-source cross-check
Every price, rate, and statistic is checked against the official publisher's current documents — including whether a pricing year has rolled over.
Second-pass cross-examination
The full set of values the platform uses is verified line-by-line against the official full texts by a separate review pass before release.
Methodology & disclaimer
Opportunity Scores use a documented weighted model — 40% unmet demand ratio, 40% dwelling supply gap, 20% absolute scale — over the NDIA's SDA demand data. Scores are relative within each quarterly snapshot and are a demand-gap signal only: read them alongside vacancy and pipeline risk (see Before you invest).
SDA revenue figures use the in-force NDIS Pricing Arrangements for SDA (2025-26 v2.0); service price limits use the 2026-27 NDIS Pricing Schedule; labour costs use the SCHADS Award SACS rates effective 1 July 2026. Each tool is labelled with the edition it uses.
